Chartered Physiotherapist
Bianca is a Chartered Physiotherapist and is registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology (ACPIN). She graduated in in Amsterdam, the Netherlands with a BSc in Physiotherapy and completed her junior rotations in The Hague Hospital, followed by working within the private sector with direct access physiotherapy. Soon after she started working in one the hospitals in Amsterdam gaining more experience in working with neurological conditions in an acute setting but also with outpatient rehabilitation (amputees, neurological conditions, oncology, musculoskeletal) and was leading on group therapy and evidence based practice within physiotherapy. She has specialised in rehabilitation and in particular neurological rehabilitation.
In 2015 she moved to the UK and has worked at various leading NHS trust in London (in and outpatients) within general rehabilitation and neurorehabilitation. Since 2019 she has been working for one of the leading private hospitals in London and is currently working there part-time as a highly specialist neuro physiotherapist treating a wide variety of neurological conditions such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, prolonged disorders of consciousness, traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries. She uses a wide variety of motor learning principles with her patients and utilises a various of adjuncts such as Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), kinesiology taping, casting, complex posture and seating and spasticity management. Integrity is very important to her as well as putting the patient first, providing patient centred care and enabling patient as much as possible to increase their level of independence.
