Aimee Higgs

Chartered Physiotherapist

After completing 8 years of training at The Royal Ballet School, and dancing professionally for a short time, Aimee turned her attention to physiotherapy following many long standing injuries and a desire to help improve the wellbeing of others. Aimee graduated from St George’s University London in 2016 with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree and has worked in both the NHS and private sectors within London specialising in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation. Aimee’s background in dance has given her sound insight into injury treatment and prevention by way of movement control and adapting training styles linked to particular conditions. She believes in finding a suitable balance between manual therapy and rehabilitation exercises to treat current symptoms with an emphasis on preventative therapy to avoid injury recurrence. Aimee focuses on using a client centred approach to treatment by fully understanding the needs of each individual and creating tailor made programmes. Aimee continues to enjoy dance, running and yoga and is passionate about assisting others to return to their activities of choice.
